Weeks ago (or a month?), we passed the awesome UNESCO heritage gorges du Verdon. It is an incredible river that flows between cliffs and has several rapids when the dam opens.
We really really tried to book a rafting experience there, even an aqua trekking one where you are just thrown into the water and descend with a life jacket. But of course all the companies were fully booked. I forgot what it means to travel during high season.
Nevertheless, the place was incredibly beautiful, probably on of the best roads we took during this trip. And everywhere smelt like lavender. 🖤
We will try to do the rafting on the way back. 🙂
